learn & Play
At The Shanty & Co., we believe kids grow best through play, creativity, and connection. Our classes are designed to spark joy and support development through music, art, story time, sensory play, and more, along with time to explore our safe and fun soft play area. Siblings who have outgrown soft play can enjoy games, puzzles, and activities at our community tables or head outside for yard games when the weather allows.
In addition to drop-in classes, we will offer Specialty Programs that provide more intentional growth and consistent structure. These multi-week sessions such as Preschool Prep for toddlers or Financial Literacy for kids, create opportunities for hands-on learning in a small group setting with the same instructor each week.

Our mission extends beyond learning and events, we are dedicated to strengthening the community around us. Research shows that families who feel connected to their community experience stronger support systems, higher levels of well-being, and healthier child development. Creating that sense of connection is at the heart of what we do.
To further this mission, we are partnering with local nonprofits whose work directly supports families in our area. As part of this commitment, we offer discounted rates for nonprofits to host fundraisers in our space, helping them expand their reach and impact. We are excited to come alongside these organizations and play a role in creating a thriving, connected community for all.

We’re passionate about creating a welcoming space where homeschool families can thrive. Whether you're looking for a change of scenery for your school day or a community to grow with, we’re here for you.
Our Discovery Classes are designed to complement your homeschool curriculum, offering hands-on, engaging learning experiences in science, art, nature, and more. In addition, we welcome Homeschool Co-ops to gather in our beautiful space, with access to both indoor classrooms and our outdoor nature play areas.
